TodayTix provides insider access to last-minute theater tickets in the US and London. We launched in December 2013 in NYC, and have quickly grown to a team of over 75 full-time employees. After initial seed capital from top executives in the entertainment and tech industries, we've completed two rounds of financing and are in full-on expansion mode. TodayTix is currently available in 10 cities, with many new markets launching soon.


The Human Resources Manager is responsible for performing HR- related duties on a professional level and will work closely with the CFO and department heads.

Initial responsibilities will include:

  • Serve as a business partner to the organization supporting the Company’s strategy and mission by striving to develop and grow a performance-based organization 
  • Work in partnership with the organization to build an engaging environment focusing on an ongoing performance review process which identifies clear expectations, support and investment, and reward and recognition
  • Responsible for aligning HR goals and objectives with the business needs and goals
  • Full life cycle recruiting process including sourcing, coordinating and participating in industry-specific events, including evaluating best recruitment practices and applicant tracking systems
  • Responsible for effective hiring decisions in collaboration with Hiring Managers and ensuring we have the best talent in place to grow and manage the business
  • Partner with Management on employee relations matters and team effectiveness
  • Facilitate effective on boarding and exit process, including new hire orientation
  • Oversees applicant and employee records and ensure Corporate and government compliance
  • Keep abreast of federal, state and local employment/labor laws, regulations, ensuring compliance with Company policy and procedures
  • Process payroll for the Company and work with PEO provider on best practices for employee benefits, including management of benefits, open enrollment, 401k and various benefit plans

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5-7 years in Human Resources, including roles in management
  • In-depth knowledge of employment practices, benefits and payroll, employment relations experience
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, follow-up, problem solving and creative thinking skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task with attention to detail
  • Proficient with MS Word & Excel
  • Experience working with a PEO preferred
  • Prior technology and/or startup industry recruitment experience strongly preferred
  • Self-motivated, team player with excellent people skills
  • Able to handle high level of discretion with confidential material
